Lockable Differential Micrometer, 6 mm Coarse, 0.2 mm Fine, 11 lb. Load

The DM-6L Differential Micrometer provides sub-micron positioning combined with a coarse travel of 6 mm. The design incorporates a standard micrometer with a high-resolution micrometer built around it. Coarse positioning, provided by the knob at the end of the micrometer, enables rapid translation with a sensitivity of 1 μm. The fine adjustment knob, closest to the positioner, allows ultra-fine positioning over 0.2 mm of travel, with 0.1 μm sensitivity. The DM-L Series is the first actuator where both coarse and fine travel can be locked with a single knob. The novel locking mechanism clamps a non-threaded portion of the screw from all sides. This stress-balanced design secures the position with negligible displacement during locking. The DM-L Series is compatible with 461/462, 561/562, 423/433, 426/436, 460P, 460A, 401/406, RS and GON Series Stages as well as many modular optical mounts.
