The M-DI47.68 Iris Diaphragm has a continuously variable 7 to 73 mm aperture for applications including adjusting the numerical aperture of a lens, aligning a laser beam, or controlling the intensity of a diffuse beam. It may also be used as a baffle to reduce spurious reflections and scattered light. Designed for smooth adjustment and the best possible aperture shape, each iris consists of an array of curved leaves whose orientation is determined by the relative position of two rings. Rotating the outer knurled ring adjusts the aperture without risk of obstructing the beam path. The M4-threaded stud allows the iris diaphragm to be mounted on a metric SP or MSP Post. These iris diaphragms are also compatible with X26 Rail System components.
