The LDC-37620 High Power Laser Diode Controller combines a precision current source with thermoelectric temperature controller. The integrated two range current source provides high stability output with maximum output currents of 10 A/20 A.
Multiple levels of laser diode protection include slow start, adjustable current limit and compliance voltage, intermittent contact protection, and output shorting relays. In addition, an integrated TEC interlock will shut off laser current if a user defined temperature range is exceeded. The integrated 128 W thermoelectric temperature controller will typically achieve temperature stability within ±0.002°C.
For automated testing applications in an R&D or production environment, remote operation is easily accomplished through the GPIB/IEEE-488 or USB remote interface. Automated LIV testing commands are built in to the instrument firmware. For virtual instrument programming, LabVIEW® instrument drivers are available for download.
