High Flux Beam Concentrator, Includes Stand

The 81030 High Flux Beam Concentrator is compatible with Oriel Solar Simulator models 91291 and 92191. It focuses the 2 inch x 2 inch (51 mm x 51 mm) output beam from our 1000 and 1600 W Flood Exposure Systems down to a 0.6 inch (15 mm) diameter spot, increasing the energy density by 7X with a ±5% intensity uniformity. The output of the 81030 is equivalent to the intensity of 30 -50 suns (with a 1 kW source). It is very useful for high flux applications such as accelerated photo degradation studies and materials testing. All air mass filters are usable with the 81030.

The concentrator consists of a multi-element fused silica lens assembly mounted in a tube that attaches to the output assembly of the simulator. Because it will extend up to 1 inch (25.4 mm) below the base of some sources, the 81030 also includes a stand which elevates the source 9 inches (229 mm). This allows 8 inches (203 mm) below the end of the concentrator for fixturing and sample orientation.

The 81030 concentrator is also compatible with solar simulator model 94023A. However, when using the concentrator with the 94023A, it is necessary to install adapter flange Part Number 202289 to the output lens assembly. This adapter facilitates a light-tight seal between the simulator and the concentrator.
