The 66995-50QS-R15 is a complete plug and play light source which includes a 50 W short filament lamp, a light source housing, a lamp power supply, as well as all the necessary interconnection cables for operation. See included components below for complete details.

A short filament QTH lamp has better shock and vibration control due to its compact construction, and can be more useful for reimaging the filament onto a small input slit of a monochromator, for example.

The provided OPS-Q250 QTH lamp power supply is highly regulated for maximum stability. The lamp can be operated in current, power, or intensity control mode to meet the operational requirements of any use case.

The included Oriel Research QTH Housing offers a built-in ignitor board and rear reflector for optimum lamp performance. A built-in cooling fan maintains a safe operating temperature for the lamp. The user is protected from accidental exposure to UV radiation and electrical shock by the lamp housing's safety interlock, which disables ignition and power to the lamp if the housing door or lamp housing interconnection cable is not securely connected.

The condenser lens assembly included with this light source uses a single element, fused, silica plano convex lens with an F/# of F/1.5.
