The DET-L-GE-R-C Germanium Photovoltaic Detector for LIDA™ houses an unbiased, photovoltaic mode operated photodiode coupled to a trans impedance amplifier. The internal 5 mm diameter active area Germanium photodiode and low-noise trans impedance amplifier provides for excellent light detection performance from 700-1800 nm, with the trans impedance amplifier providing a gain of 104 V/A to 109 V/A over 0.01 Hz-100 kHz frequencies. Below picowatt level light powers can be measured using this detector. This detector includes a NIST traceable calibration, making it suitable for absolute measurements over its entire sensitivity range.
