The National Instruments GPIB-400 Bus Tester has toggle switches on the front for controlling different GPIB lines. It can perform some functions of an analyzer, such as providing acceptor handshakes and giving line status when requested. The box also has a serial (RS-232) port on the back for dumping data from the bus. Some of the functionality of the GPIB-400 is controlled by two DIP switches inside the box.
