National Instruments USB-5681 RF Power Meter
Features
  • -40 to +20 dBm Power Range
  • Scope and Time-Slot Mode Support
  • 10 MHz to 18 GHz Frequency Range
  • 150 mA Typical Power Consumption

The National Instruments USB-5861 RF Power Meter features a wide dynamic range from -40 to +20 dBm and <±0.18 dB linearity over the full 10 MHz to 18 GHz frequency range. Being that the National Instruments USB-5861 is a true RMS power meter, the user can make precisely accurate average power measurements of signals ranging from single-tone and multitone sources to wideband, complex digital waveforms.

National Instruments offers the user the opportunity to hardware-trigger the USB-5681 through an external trigger source. The user also has the option of software-triggering the USB-5681, based on the signal source. Scope and slot modes use this software triggering to measure burst waveforms, such as WiMAX and LTE , and multislot waveforms, such as GSM and EDGE. These new features are exposed in the full-featured Soft Front Panel application, as well as the flexible API for National Instruments LabView or National Instruments LabWindows/CVI.

The National Instruments USB-5681 RF Power Meter is self-contained in a small form factor similar to the size of a typical power head with calibration constants, including linearity and temperature corrections stored directly on the device. The National Instruments USB-5681 draws only 150 mA from the USB connection, making it highly suitable for mobile applications or adding to automated test applications to free up valuable rack space without sacrificing performance.
