This National Instruments cRIO-9068 Embedded Real-Time Controller and Artix-7 FPGA combines a dual-core processor, a reconfigurable FPGA, and eight slots for C Series I/O modules within one chassis. Featuring a 667 MHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor running the NI Linux Real-Time OS and an Artix-7 FPGA, this system is well-suited for advanced embedded control and monitoring applications. The cRIO-9068 offers a -40°C to 70°C operating temperature range along with dual 9 VDC to 30 VDC power supply inputs for use in applications that demand a rugged and temperature-tolerant controller. The device features 512 MB of DDR3 memory for embedded operation, 1 GB of nonvolatile memory for data logging, and a wide range of connectivity options including two Gigabit Ethernet, one USB Hi-Speed, and three serial ports.

You can use the National Instruments LabVIEW system design software to create, debug, and deploy logic to both the onboard FPGA and the processor running the NI Linux Real-Time OS. The LabVIEW environment includes hundreds of prewritten libraries for analysis, control, and logging. C/C++ developers have the option to reuse existing libraries within LabVIEW Real-Time or develop, debug, and deploy C/C++ applications for the onboard processor. Also included are all necessary I/O drivers and middleware for AXI communication between the FPGA and processor as well as network communication libraries to develop the entire system software with a single tool: LabVIEW.

The ruggedness and temperature range make the cRIO-9068 well-suited for high-volume and OEM applications in harsh environments.
