The National Instruments PCI-6704 is a software-timed voltage and current output device for PCI. This device has16 voltage outputs and 16 current outputs that can be used at the same time independently. It also has 8 digital I/O (DIO) lines. Each output can be set from ±10 V or 0 to 20 mA.

Each voltage output channel on the PCI-6704 can be set for a bipolar voltage output of ±10 V and is accurate to ±1 mV. Each current output channel can be set to source current from 0 to 20 mA and is accurate to ±2 µA. The channels source current without requiring an external excitation source, but do not sink current.
