The National Instruments VXI/VMEpc 600 Series controllers are B-sized, embedded computers based on x86 Processor architecture and on the Peripheral Component Interface (PCI) bus. They are easy-to-use, high-performance platforms for controlling VXI/VMEbus systems. These computers feature complete VXI and VME functionality through interactive utilities and C function calls, Ethernet capability an IEEE 488.2 interface, and are fully VXIplug&play compliant. This Series is compatible with PC-compatible software tools, the NI LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI application software, and the NI-VXI, NI-VISA, and NI-488.2 bus interface software.

The VXI/VMEpc 600 Series consists of the VXIpc-650 and VMEpc-650 models, which are custom computers that install directly in 2 B-Size slots you the VXI or VME mainframe.

The VXIpc-650B models are identical except for the processor. The VXIpc-650B/233 incorporates a 233 MHz Pentium MMX and the VXIpc-650B/166 a 166 MHz Pentium MMX. This Series is small, rugged, and ideal for VXI systems and can hold a maximum of 128 MB.

The VMEpc-650 is a high-performance, 2 slot, 6U embedded controller for VME systems and can hold a maximum of 128 MB.
