National Instruments SCXI-1001 SCXI chassis is a low-noise, rugged option to control your SCXI modules and conditioned signals. The unique architecture of the SCXI chassis includes the SCXIbus. This allows communication between modules and routes analog and digital signals. The SCXI chassis then synchronizes the timing between each module and the DAQ device. With this set-up, input channels from several modules can be scanned in several chassis at rates up to 333 kS/s for every DAQ device.

The SCXI provides great versatility with its various chassis options and expandability. However it's configured, NI-DAQ or NI-SWITCH driver software still handles all low-level programing for a DAQ device.
