The National Instruments AT-MIO-16 is a high-performance, software-configurable, 12-bit DAQ board. It is used for laboratory, test and measurement, and data acquisition and control applications. This board can achieve high performance even when used in environments that may have long interrupt latencies because of its FIFOs and dual-channel DMA. The AT-MIO-16 performs high-accuracy measurements with high-speed settling to 12 bits, noise as low as 0.1 LSBrms, and a typical DNL of ±0.5 LSB.

The AT-MIO-16 has the RealTime System Integration (RTSI) bus to easily synchronize several measurement functions to a common trigger or timing event. This board can interface to the Signal Conditioning eXtensions for Instrumentation (SCXI) system so over 3,000 analog signals from thermocouples, RTDs, voltage sources, current sources, and strain gauges can be acquired. Also, the AT-MIO-16 can acquire or generate digital signals for communication and control.
