Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

Designed for circuit design, debugging and validation, the VB-8012 brings several bench instruments into a shared software environment. Interactive measurements can be viewed together, while LabVIEW integration supports programmatic control and automated test sequences.

Within the VirtualBench family, the VB-8012 is the two-analog-channel, 100 MHz model. The VB-8034 and VB-8054 provide four analog channels with 350 MHz and 500 MHz bandwidth, respectively.

  • Mixed-signal oscilloscope with SPI, I2C and parallel protocol analysis.
  • Waveform generation supports sine, square, ramp/triangle, DC and arbitrary waveforms.
  • Multimeter functions include AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, diode and continuity measurements.
  • Eight digital I/O channels with 5 V-compatible TTL inputs and 3.3 V LVTTL outputs.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Does the VB-8012 sample both analog channels at 1 GS/s?

No. The maximum is 1 GS/s with one channel, or 500 MS/s per channel with both channels.

Can the VB-8012 be controlled from LabVIEW?

Yes. NI documents LabVIEW integration for programmatic instrument control and automated test sequences.

Are the positive and negative 25 V outputs independently isolated?

No. They are bank-isolated from ground, but not from each other.
