The PCI-6722 supports simultaneous multichannel updates for stimulus-response testing, power supply control, deterministic control and sensor or signal simulation. Individual data points can define standard waveforms or more complex output patterns.

Update performance depends on channel count and waveform storage. For eight channels, NI specifies 476 kS/s per channel using the local FIFO and a measured 182 kS/s per channel using host memory; host-memory performance depends on the computer and bus activity.
