Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

The NI 9205 combines a programmable-gain instrumentation amplifier and a 16-bit ADC in a multiplexed front end. Each input channel can use one of four programmable voltage ranges.

Sampling bandwidth is shared rather than simultaneous across channels. NI gives a maximum of 15.625 kS/s per channel when all 16 differential channels are acquired at the 250 kS/s aggregate limit.

  • Selectable single-ended and differential voltage measurement configurations.
  • Four programmable input ranges accommodate signals from ±200 mV to ±10 V.
  • ±30 V overvoltage protection between input channels and COM.
  • Channel-to-earth isolation; channels share a common COM connection rather than individual channel isolation.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Does the NI 9205 provide 32 differential inputs?

No. It supports up to 32 single-ended inputs or 16 differential inputs.

Are all NI 9205 modules wired the same way?

No. NI documents spring-terminal and DSUB versions, including different spring-terminal designs. Identify the connector on the actual module and follow the corresponding wiring instructions.
