Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

The NI-9205 is a C Series analog voltage acquisition module for CompactDAQ and CompactRIO systems. Its programmable input ranges accommodate voltage signals from ±200 mV to ±10 V.

A multiplexed front end shares one ADC across the enabled channels. The 250 kS/s rating is aggregate, not per channel; NI gives 15.625 kS/s per channel as the maximum when acquiring all 16 differential channels.

  • Selectable single-ended or differential voltage acquisition.
  • Four per-channel programmable voltage ranges.
  • Programmable-gain instrumentation amplifier feeding a shared 16-bit ADC.
  • D-SUB version provides 60 VDC continuous channel-to-earth isolation; channels are not isolated from each other.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Does the NI-9205 sample all channels simultaneously?

No. It multiplexes channels into a shared ADC. Its maximum 250 kS/s sampling rate is shared across the active channels.

Which connector version does this record identify?

The supplied part number 779357-01 identifies the D-SUB version. NI also offers spring-terminal variants, so confirm the module label and connector when matching existing wiring.

Are the input channels individually isolated?

No. The channels share COM. The D-SUB version has 60 VDC continuous channel-to-earth isolation, not channel-to-channel isolation.
