Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

The NI-9215 provides voltage acquisition in NI CompactDAQ and CompactRIO systems. Independent track-and-hold circuitry lets all four channels sample simultaneously, rather than scanning inputs sequentially.

NI offers screw-terminal, spring-terminal and BNC versions. Connector-specific wiring and isolation limits differ, so the physical variant must be identified before applying those specifications to this catalog item.

  • Four differential analog input channels.
  • Simultaneous acquisition at up to 100 kS/s per channel.
  • 16-bit successive approximation register ADC architecture.
  • ±10 V nominal voltage measurement range.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Does the NI-9215 sample all four channels simultaneously?

Yes. Each channel has independent track-and-hold circuitry, supporting simultaneous sampling at up to 100 kS/s per channel.

Is 250 Vrms isolation the voltage measurement range?

No. The nominal measurement range is ±10 V. Screw- and spring-terminal versions have 250 Vrms continuous channel-to-earth isolation, while the BNC version has 60 VDC. There is no channel-to-channel isolation.

Which connector version does this record identify?

The record is inconsistent: its description says screw terminal, but its tag lists 783739-01, which NI identifies as spring terminal. Confirm the physical connector and module label before selecting wiring accessories.
