PXI-8431/2

The National Instruments PXI-8431/2 provides two non-isolated RS-485/RS-422 serial ports for PXI systems. It supports baud rates up to 3 Mbaud, with a 2 Mbaud limit in two-wire automatic transceiver-control mode.

The PXI-8431/2 adds RS-485/RS-422 communication to a PXI system. Selectable two- and four-wire transceiver modes support half- and full-duplex operation.

DMA transfers, multithreading and multiprocessor support provide a serial interface designed for high-speed communication. The interface appears as standard COM ports for software using serial communications.
