FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

What is the difference between SCXI-1521 and SCXI-1521B?

The SCXI-1521 is intended for 350 Ω quarter-bridge gauges and has 350 Ω completion resistors. The SCXI-1521B is the 120 Ω quarter-bridge version. They should not be treated as the same model.

Which terminal block does the SCXI-1521 require?

NI specifies the SCXI-1317 front-mount terminal block. Its installation guide includes two-wire and three-wire quarter-bridge wiring diagrams.

Does NI-DAQmx support the SCXI-1521?

The NI-DAQmx 17.5 readme explicitly lists NI SCXI-1521/B among supported modules. This is version-specific evidence, not a statement of compatibility with every driver release or operating system.
