Can the SCC-DI01 sense AC signals?

Yes. It supports AC and DC sensing. Low-amplitude, low-frequency AC can produce alternating logic states; the guide describes steady-high detection for sinusoidal signals at least 1 kHz and 4 Vrms, within input limits.

Where does it install on an SC-2345?

It fits sockets J9 through J16. Up to eight SCC-DI modules can be used per carrier when the DAQ lines are configured appropriately.

What does the status LED show?

On indicates logic high; off indicates logic low.
