Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

The NI-9213 adds thermocouple measurements to mixed-signal test systems while conserving chassis slots. Its 16 inputs suit systems that need multiple temperature measurement points within the C Series ecosystem.

Each input passes through a differential filter before multiplexing into a 24-bit ADC. The module includes cold-junction compensation, anti-aliasing filters and open-thermocouple detection.

  • 16 thermocouple inputs in one C Series module.
  • Integrated cold-junction compensation for thermocouple measurements.
  • Open-thermocouple detection supports identification of disconnected sensors.
  • 50 Hz/60 Hz noise rejection.
  • Spring-terminal connections for thermocouple wiring.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Which thermocouple types does the NI-9213 support?

NI lists J, K, T, E, N, B, R and S types. Do not interpret the legacy phrase 'all standard thermocouples' as support for every thermocouple type; Type C is not listed as a supported selection.

Does the NI-9213 sample every channel simultaneously?

The getting-started guide describes filtered inputs multiplexed into a shared 24-bit ADC, rather than simultaneous conversion of all channels.

How does the NI-9213 differ from the NI-9214?

NI identifies the NI-9214's added terminal block and additional cold-junction compensation as differences that improve measurement accuracy. Compare the specifications for the intended operating conditions rather than treating the models as interchangeable.
