The PXI-4072 brings precision DMM measurements and isolated waveform acquisition into the PXI platform. NI documents it alongside the PXI-4070 as a 6½-digit FlexDMM with an integrated digitizer.

NI-DMM provides software control. For synchronized acquisition, NI describes configuring PXI-407x instruments to start from a common external trigger.
