Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

The USB-6525 combines isolated digital sensing and relay switching in a computer-connected device. Its bus-powered design supports industrial sensor and actuator interfaces without a modular DAQ chassis.

Signal wiring connects directly to screw terminals. The outputs switch an external load circuit rather than supply a programmable output voltage; load power and wiring must follow the NI connection instructions.

  • Separate banks of eight isolated digital inputs and eight isolated relay outputs.
  • Programmable input filtering and change detection.
  • Configurable power-up output states and a watchdog timer.
  • P1.7/PFI 0 can serve as the input to a 32-bit event counter.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Does the USB-6525 supply 60 V to a load?

No. The 60 VDC rating is a relay switching limit, not a generated voltage. The load circuit uses an external power source.

Does it require a separate terminal-block accessory?

Signals connect directly to the device's screw-terminal connections; a separate signal-interface accessory is not required.

Can it count external events?

Yes. P1.7/PFI 0 can be configured for a 32-bit rising-edge event counter, with a maximum input frequency of 5 kHz.
