The National Instruments SCXI-1200 is a module that works like the lab-PC+ multifunction analog, digital, and timing I/O plug-in board. This module can be used as a standalone module or in conjunction with other SCXI modules. As a standalone module, the SCXI-1200 has eight analog input channels. These channels can be configured as 8 single-ended or four differential. It also includes a 12-bit successive-approximation ADC, 24 lines of TTL-compatible digital I/O, 2 12-bit DACs with voltage outputs, and 16-bit counter/timer channels for timing I/O.

The SCXI-1200 module communicates with a PC through the parallel port and works with the 4-slot SCXI-1000, the 4-slot SCXI-1000DC, and the 12-slot SCXI-1001 chassis. This module controls the operation of and digitizes the conditioned analog signals from other SCXI modules.
