How much chassis space does the PXIe-8880 require?

It is a four-wide 3U controller requiring one system slot and three controller expansion slots.

Does every chassis provide the controller's full 24 GB/s bandwidth?

No. System bandwidth depends on the chassis and controller link configuration. NI documents up to 24 GB/s with a 24 GB/s PXIe-1085 chassis; PXIe-1085 variants also exist with lower bandwidth.

What external instrument and peripheral connections are provided?
