The PXIe-7822 combines a user-programmable FPGA with bidirectional digital I/O for onboard processing and flexible hardware-timed operation. Its PXI Express interface places it within the NI PXI platform.

The module provides single-ended digital signaling through VHDCI front connections, selectable logic levels, and four external clock inputs. It supports peer-to-peer streaming and includes 512 MB of DRAM.

With LabVIEW FPGA, digital lines can be configured for input, output, counter/timer, PWM, encoder input, or specialized communication protocol functions.
