The PXIe-2512 uses feedthrough channels that can be opened or shorted to one or more fault buses. This supports simulation of open or interrupted connections, shorts between pins, shorts to battery voltages, and shorts to ground on a per-channel basis.

The module uses FET relays and provides an 800 kHz switch bandwidth. Its listed configuration has one column and seven rows with row access, using a PXI Express bus connection within the PXI platform.

Maximum switching voltage of 50 V DC and 30 V AC.
