The National Instruments PXI-6221 M Series Multifunction Data Acquisition Module is designed to provide optimal functionality for cost-sensitive applications. The PXI-6221 Module offers up to 80 analog inputs and 48 digital I / O lines, four analog outputs, two counter/timers, and digital triggering. The PXI-6221 features a standard one-year calibration interval, as well as offering a two year calibration service for higher speeds and better accuracy.

When using for test applications, the National Instruments PXI-6221 can use 16-bit, 250 kS/s analog inputs and 1 MHz digital lines with National Instruments signal conditioning for applications including data logging and sensor measurements. When being used in control applications, the PXI-6221 can drive 24 mA for relay and actuator control. With up to four analog outputs, two 80 MHz counter/timers, and six DMA channels the PXI-6221 can execute multiple control loops simultaneously.
