The PCI-6703 belongs to the NI 670x analog output family and connects through PCI. Its analog channels provide voltage output; the additional current-output channels described for the NI 6704 are not features of the PCI-6703.

Output changes are commanded by software rather than a hardware sample clock. NI explains that an internal multiplexed DAC refreshes the output channels, so software timing, channel update latency, and settling time must be considered separately when planning output changes.

Does the PCI-6703 provide current output channels?

No. The PCI-6703 provides 16 voltage outputs. The NI 6704 adds 16 current outputs as well as its 16 voltage outputs.
