NI PXIE-4610 is an NI PXI Express power amplifier module with two channels and differential input/output topology. NI specifies AC-coupled differential inputs with a full-scale input range of ±1.414 Vpk (1.0 Vrms, 0.0 dBV), and DC-coupled differential outputs with a full-scale output range of ±14.14 Vpk (10 Vrms, 20 dBV). The module is part of NI’s PXI amplifier hardware line and is marketed as a power amplifier kit; the Getting Started Guide confirms the primary device is the PXIe-4610 module and that two detachable screw-terminal output connectors are included accessories.
The PXIe-4610 is designed for signal amplification with 10x voltage gain and output drive up to ±2.235 Apk (1.581 Arms). NI lists maximum average output power per channel as 2 W into 50 Ω, 5 W into 20 Ω, 10 W into 8 Ω, and 9 W into 4 Ω. For dynamic performance, NI specifies ±15 V/µs output voltage slew rate, ±0.5 A/µs output current slew rate, and -3 dB small-signal bandwidth of 480 kHz with no load, 270 kHz at 8 Ω, and 200 kHz at 4 Ω.
From an integration standpoint, the module uses the PXI Express bus in a 3.3 V differential signal environment. NI specifies BNC female input connectors and 2-terminal detachable screw-terminal outputs. Protection-related specifications include input overvoltage to ±42.4 Vpk with respect to chassis ground, plus output overvoltage protection to ±42.4 Vpk positive-to-ground, negative-to-ground, and between outputs, with indefinite short-circuit duration listed for the outputs.
