Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

The PCIe-1473 places a programmable FPGA directly in the image path. NI describes its use for image acquisition and processing with closed-loop control without CPU intervention, or for preprocessing image data before transferring it to the host CPU.

NI documentation uses PCIe-1473R for the LX50 hardware and PCIe-1473R-LX110 for the larger FPGA variant. This catalog retains the PCIe-1473 identity; confirm the board label before selecting variant-specific resources.

  • User-programmable FPGA supports onboard image processing.
  • Supports Base, Medium, Full, and Extended Full Camera Link configurations.
  • PoCL is enabled by default on PCIe-1473R hardware.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Do the two Camera Link connectors support two cameras?

NI lists support for one camera. Base uses Port 0; Medium, Full, and Extended Full use both connectors for the same camera.

Is the LX50 FPGA confirmed for this catalog record?

No. The legacy description specifies LX50, but NI lists both LX50 and LX110 variants under PCIe-1473. Confirm the physical board identification.

Must PoCL be enabled through a camera file?

NI states that PCIe-1473R has PoCL enabled by default and does not require editing an .icd file to enable it. The camera and cable must support PoCL.
