The PXIe-6544 generates and acquires digital waveforms through 32 bidirectional channels. Its single-ended digital I/O supports logic levels of 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V and 3.3 V.

The instrument connects through PXI Express and provides maximum generation and acquisition rates of 100 Mbits/s, with a maximum clock rate of 100 MHz. It does not provide hardware compare, a parametric measurement unit (PMU), or an active load.
