Which software family does the PCI-STEP-2CX use?

It belongs to the ValueMotion controller range. NI-Motion should not be assumed to replace ValueMotion; NI's NI-Motion 6.0 release notes explicitly state that ValueMotion is not included.

Is Windows XP supported for the PCI-STEP range?

NI's historical support chart marks Windows XP and Windows Vista as unsupported for PCI-STEP controllers. It lists Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, and 2000 as supported with the historical ValueMotion driver environment.
