FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

How many chassis slots does the module require?

It occupies three adjacent slots. The left two slots must be PXI Express compatible.

Can its FPGA be customized?

Yes. NI documents a user-programmable Virtex-6 FPGA and programming through the LabVIEW FPGA Module.

Why do the linked manuals refer to PXIe-5644R?

NI's PXIe-5644 product page identifies its product description as PXIe-5644R VST, and the associated getting-started guide uses that designation. Confirm the module label and part number when matching hardware to documentation.
