The PXI-8360 allows a PC to control PXI and CompactPCI systems through a transparent MXI-Express link. It provides a remote-control interface rather than an embedded computing controller.

Installed in a PXI chassis, the module uses a PCI Express-to-PCI bridge and a copper MXI-Express x1 connection to a host-side interface. Select the host interface and cable using the NI MXI-Express x1 documentation.
