Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

The PXI-8336 provides the fiber-optic interface in an MXI-4 link. For PC-based control, the supported configuration connects a PCI-8336 in the host computer to a PXI-8336 in the expansion chassis.

For chassis-to-chassis expansion, NI also documents a PXI-8336-to-PXI-8336 pairing. A complete system requires two correctly paired interface boards, the appropriate fiber-optic cable, a host, an expansion chassis, and supporting software.

  • Fiber-optic cable interface for MXI-4 links.
  • Supports remote chassis control with a PCI-8336 host interface.
  • Supports chassis expansion using a second PXI-8336.
