FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Is 68 S/s a per-channel sample rate?

No. NI identifies 68 S/s as an aggregate rate, not 68 S/s per thermocouple channel.

Which terminal block does the NI-9214 use?

It uses the TB-9214, which NI identifies as exclusively compatible with the NI-9214. Confirm the terminal block supplied with the individual catalog item.

Does 0.37 °C describe accuracy under all conditions?

No. For example, the datasheet gives 0.37 °C typical error for a type K thermocouple at 100 °C in high-resolution mode at 23 °C ±5 °C ambient. The table assumes autozero enabled, open-thermocouple detection disabled and zero common-mode voltage, and excludes thermocouple error.

How does the NI-9214 differ from the NI-9213?

NI describes the NI-9214's added terminal block as providing additional cold-junction compensation and increased measurement accuracy. Compare the model-specific accuracy specifications rather than treating the modules as interchangeable.
