Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

ExpressCard-GPIB provides a computer-to-instrument GPIB connection through an ExpressCard slot. NI documents installation and cabling in its GPIB hardware guide.

For legacy system integration, check the driver release as well as the physical slot. NI-488.2 for Windows 21.5 lists ExpressCard-GPIB support for Windows 10, Server 2016, and Server 2019, but not LabVIEW Real-Time. That release identifies the hardware as end-of-life and not recommended for new designs.

  • 34 mm card compatible with ExpressCard/34 and ExpressCard/54 slots.
  • Supports conventional 3-wire GPIB and HS488 transfers.
  • Supported by documented NI-488.2 driver releases.
