Overview

Product overview

Key product information and technical features.

NI documents the AT-5411 in its 54xx hardware capabilities tables. Its waveform-generation resources include ARB and DDS memory, digital outputs, and RTSI triggering.

Output limits depend on termination: NI lists ±5 V into a 50 Ω load and ±10 V into an unterminated, high-input-impedance load, using the internal reference.

  • Double-buffered 12-bit DAC.
  • ARB waveform buffers start at 256 samples and must contain a multiple of eight samples.
  • Rising-edge TTL triggering through the trigger input connector or RTSI, plus software-generated triggering.

FAQ

Product-specific questions

Product-specific answers based on available technical information.

Is the AT-5411 DAC 12-bit or 16-bit?

NI specifies a 12-bit DAC. The 16-bit figure describes waveform memory samples and digital output width, not DAC resolution.

What waveform buffer size does DDS mode require?

DDS mode requires 16,384 samples. NI notes that loading fewer samples can cause unfilled memory contents to appear in the generated waveform.
