The PXI-7842 combines analog acquisition, analog generation and digital I/O with a user-programmable FPGA in a PXI module. Its Virtex-5 LX50 FPGA supports onboard processing and direct control of I/O signals, with LabVIEW FPGA Module customization for timing and control.

The analog section provides 16-bit input and output resolution with -10 V to 10 V ranges. Analog inputs support simultaneous sampling at a maximum sample rate of 200 kS/s, while the maximum analog output update rate is 1 MS/s. The module also provides 96 bidirectional digital channels and VHDCI front connections.
